This statement explains our approach to accessibility, what we have done so far, where we know we can do better, and how to contact us if you experience any difficulty using the site.

We believe a well-built website should work for everyone - whether you're using a screen reader, navigating by keyboard, browsing on a phone, or simply prefer larger text. Accessibility isn't an extra; it's part of doing the job properly.

Our Approach

We have built this website with accessibility in mind from the start. In practical terms, this means:

• The site is designed to be navigable using a keyboard alone, without needing a mouse.

• Text and background colours have been chosen to maintain strong contrast and readability.

• Headings, links and buttons are written clearly and described properly.

• Images include descriptive alternative text wherever they convey meaningful information.

• The site is designed to work across modern browsers and on mobile devices.

• Form fields are clearly labelled to support screen readers and assistive technologies.

• The site avoids automatically playing audio or video, and avoids flashing content that could cause discomfort.

 

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA where possible. This is the standard recommended for public-facing websites in the UK, and we use it as our benchmark even though we are a small private business not legally required to meet it.

What We Are Working Towards

We are a small, independent business, and we don't claim our website is perfect. There are likely to be areas where we can still improve, and we take a continuous-improvement approach rather than a one-off "tick the box" one.

Areas we keep under review:

• Ensuring every image on the site has appropriate alternative text, including any images added in future.

• Checking that all pages remain readable when text is enlarged or when the page is viewed at unusual sizes.

• Making sure new content we add continues to meet the same standards as the rest of the site.

Known Limitations

We are honest about the fact that some limitations may exist:

We do our best to choose accessible options, but we don't have full control over how these elements behave with every assistive technology.

• Older content. If we add older photos or documents in future, we will do our best to provide accessible alternatives, but there may occasionally be a gap. If you encounter one, please let us know and we will provide the content in a different format.

• Document downloads. Where we provide downloadable documents (such as quotes or invoices), these are typically PDFs. If you need a document in a more accessible format — for example as plain text, a Word document or in large print — we're happy to provide one on request.

Booking a Move If the Website Doesn't Work for You

If using the website is difficult for any reason, you are always welcome to contact us directly to book your move. We are happy to:

• Arrange your move by email at whatever pace suits you.

• Have a family member, friend or carer contact us on your behalf with your permission.

• Provide a written quote in a format that works for you.

 

You will never need to use the website to access our service. The phone and email are always the simplest route.

Reasonable Adjustments on the Day

Our commitment to accessibility doesn't end with the website. If you have any specific needs that would affect your move — for example mobility considerations, communication preferences, or particular requirements at either property — please mention them when you get in touch. We will plan the day around them rather than expect you to plan around us.

How We Tested This Site

We test the website using a combination of:

• The built-in accessibility tools provided by our website platform (Wix Studio).

• Manual checks of keyboard navigation, colour contrast and content structure.

• Feedback from customers and visitors who get in touch.

 

We have not commissioned a full external accessibility audit. As a small business this would not be proportionate, but we keep this under review and will consider one in future if our circumstances change.

We will update this statement when our practices or the site itself change in any meaningful way. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page will always reflect the most recent revision.
